Rescue Mission

Autumn Term
The Rescue Mission challenge tasks teams with programming a robot to navigate hazards, avoid obstacles and deliver a payload autonomously.

Eco-Quest

Spring Term
EcoQuest challenges teams to build a robot that detects, sorts and tracks recyclable materials using sensors and a micro:bit display.

Robo Games Arena

Summer Term
The RoboGames Arena combines fast-paced robotics challenges with a freestyle showcase of coding and engineering creativity.

Termly Competition Entry

Teams of 4–6 pupils can take part in each termly competition, with schools free to enter as many teams as they wish. This flexible approach allows for broad participation across year groups or clubs—please refer to the fees section for full details. The winning school recieve the National Champion’s trophy and a class set of Micro:bits - allowing you to continue the development of STEM. Other prizes will be announced soon!

MicroBotics is designed to be high-impact, low-cost and sustainable — making competitive robotics accessible to all schools. Hardware is purchased once and reused across all three termly competitions. All required sensors and motors are included, leaving teams just the fun job of deciding what the robot chassis will look like!

Not at all. The competition is designed to be accessible for beginners, with guidance and resources provided so that any school or student can get started and succeed.
